Dr. Will White, MSW, LCSW co-founded and directed a behavioral healthcare organization, Summit Achievement, for over 26 years. He has a Doctorate in Leadership and is a licensed mental health provider with over 32 years in practice. He has been a CEO, Clinical Director, Clinical Supervisor, and Outreach Director in a licensed and accredited mental and substance abuse residential treatment program and wilderness therapy program.

Will personally and professionally knows the challenges of leading an organization through the change process, having piloted a behavioral healthcare organization through many challenging times, including leadership succession, crisis management, dealing with macroeconomic headwinds, and so much more.

He developed the White Mountain Adventure Institute to help other behavioral healthcare organizations better serve their clients and communities.

More about Will-  He received his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Denver and his Doctorate in Leadership from Franklin Pierce University. His dissertation is the first in-depth chronicle of wilderness and adventure therapy history through profiling leaders and organizations that change the course of the field.

 He is the author of the book, Stories from the Field: A History of Wilderness Therapy and the host of the podcast, Stories from the Field: Demystifying Wilderness Therapy. He has been profiled in Outside, the Today Show, and Beautiful News. He contributed a history chapter to the book Adventure Therapy: Theory, Research, and Practice. 

He has taught Adventure and Wilderness Therapy classes at Plymouth State University for almost two decades.

Will lives in Northern New Hampshire with his wife, Lisa, and sons.
